Herbs & Greens

Caged birds lack the ability to forage for their native wild plants which is why supplementing their seed diets with a variety of vitamin rich greens and herbs will improve overall health and vitality while building up the immune system. Below are a few herbs which I feel will improve your birds overall good health.

Parsley

High in vitamin C and A. Also contains calcium, iron, magnesium, riboflavin, niacin, and chlorophyll. Parsley leaves also help the digestive tract and freshen breath (as if bad breath is really a birdy problem).

Cinnamon

Calcium, Iron, Magnesium, anti-inflammatory, digestion aid, fights bacteria in the stomach, and is good for the heart.

Rosemary

Garlic

Antibiotic, antibacterial, antifungal, parasite control, respiratory health, digestive aid.

Chives

Do not confuse with onions as onions can be toxic to birds.

Red Peppers
