Societies are the sweethearts of the finch world. They are hardy, easy to care for, gentle natured, and quiet. Societies get along with most all species and love raising babies. In fact most Societies, both male and female, will sit on pert near any species of egg you care to plop into their nest, hatch it, and feed it like it was their own. Society males have a funny little song and squatty dance. Not the most musically inclined but their sweet nature more than makes up for the lack of song quality. Both beginners and experinced finch fanciers love keeping these little guys.
