Star Finches have surprisingly large eggs for their size. In fact the egg is as large as a Gouldian egg. Like most of the captive finches their eggs are white. Stars get along well with other finches and are capable of defending themselves from other larger finches. The males song is a pretty soft lyric and they sing rather freely.
