We are a family owned company located at the foothills of the beautiful Big Horn Mountains in Buffalo Wyoming. We love animals and birds both wild and tame, nature, and the great outdoors. I was raised in the country where I learned to appreciate nature and the wildlife and wild birds that share our world. Willie is a city boy but he is a nature lover at heart. We spend a lot of time at our cabin in the Big Horns enjoying the quiet and scenic views from the cabin. This is also where most of my Wyoming wildlife photos are taken.
We purchased our first finch on a whim from a pet shop where we saw our first Cordon Bleu and it was love at first sight. She reminded us of the Mountain Bluebirds that nested by our cabin. We couldn’t wait to get our mini bluebird home for some indoor bird watching. We promptly named her Bluebell and we have been ‘hooked on finches’ ever since. Bluebell gave us more than just a little mountain blue to warm our winter days, she instilled a love of indoor bird watching and a lifelong quest for knowledge on the care and breeding of finches. As a result we have been raising finches and canaries for the last 10 years. I can’t imagine our home without a morning song to start the day.
What started out as one little blue bird grew to a few finches for breeding, then expanded into a few more finches, and more finches, and ultimately led to selling bird products out of our home office and at bird marts. In 2005 we expanded our business with more products and an online store to reach a wider market for our products. We are proud of our quality line of bird products and most every item in our online catalog has been tested on our birds. Quality products result in the best hatch rates and healthy birds so that is what I take pride in offering to our customers.
